Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Banjarbaru City and Tanah Bumbu were bestowed the "Dukcapil Bisa" awards by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the best service in population.
"We hope that the award from the Minister of Home Affairs to the Banjarbaru Civil Registry and Population Agency (Disdukcapil) to be a vitamin or encouragement to give the best public service," said Mayor HM Aditya Mufti Ariffin in Banjarbaru, Thursday.
The award was presented as an appreciation for the best performance, high dedication, strong commitment, and consistency in carrying out duties in providing population administration service in 2020.
There were only one city and one district in South Kalimantan awarded the Dukcapil Bisa, namely Tanah Bumbu and Banjarbaru.
"Tanah Bumbu won the Dukcapil Bisa award from the Minister of Home Affairs and the award was presented at the Dukcapil National Coordination Meeting in Jakarta," said Head of Tanah Bumbu Disdukcapil Eka Sapruddin in Batulicin, Thursday.
"In addition to the award, Tanah Bumbu also received anjungan Dukcapil Mandiri or ADM (an automated machine for population service)," said Eka.
Tanah Bumbu until February 2021 has recorded an achievement of ID or e-KTP recording of 99.84%, issuing KIA (children identity cards) 87.84%, and issuing birth certificates of 93.38%.
"Award is not the main goal, but an encouragement to continue to provide the best public service that it must be realized that the duty of the government officials is to serve the public," Mayor said.
He said the service provided must be in line with the vision and mission of making Banjarbaru progressive, religious, and prosperous (champion), so that every citizen gets the best service as their rights.
