BPBD on the official website of the city government di on Wednesday said 25 urban villages were severely affected by the flood, the most in East Banjarmasin, with nine urban villages.
Here, around 45 thousand residents from 15 thousand families were affected by flood with a water height of 50 cm to 1.2 meters.
A total of 3,701 residents from 1,585 families fled to safer places.
In South Banjarmasin 18,089 residents from 7,123 families in seven urban villages were affected, 862 people or 346 families had to evacuate.
BPBD also recorded seven urban villages were affected in Central Banjarmasin, and two other urban villages in North Banjarmasin.
In North, namely in Sungai Andai and Sungai Jingah Urban Villages, a total of 33,760 residents from almost 10 thousand families were affected, 66 families or 136 people took refuge.
Then in Central Banjarmasin, a total of 940 families or 3,219 people were affected, 65 people from 23 families had to evacuate.
Banjarmasin BPBD noted that there were no urban villages affected by flood in West Banjarmasin.
Until the seventh day, there were no reports of casualties, but the records of victims affected by the flood continued to grow.
Banjarmasin has declared a flood emergency response status since January 15, command posts and public kitchens are concentrated in the sub-district whose areas are flooded.
