Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalimantan Antaranews) - Head of Banjarmasin Health Agency drg Diah R Praswasti unveil the number of Upper Respiratory Tract Infection or known here as ISPA reached 76, 635 cases during 2013.
This amount is the highest of the ten cases of the disease monitored by health workers, based on the number of those who seek treatment at hospitals and community health centers during that period, she told reporters at her office on Tuesday.
ISPA cases was high regardless of the weather and environmental factors are less good in addition to issues lifestyle of the people who have yet to implement clean and nutritious lifestyle.
While the second highest of top 10 diseases in the city, which inhabited by about 700 thousand people, is hypertension with 60,844 cases. This figure is quite surprising, as it can not be separated from the pattern of modern life, marked by a simple state of stress, as well as consumption of foods that trigger blood pressure, such as fat, high salt, or other fast food.
The third rheumatoid disease reached 31,290 cases, and pulp and periapical tissue with 29,653 cases, Gastritis and Duodenitis 27,122 cases, then 21,095 cases of coughing.
Seventh is a disorder of the teeth and other supporting tissues with 18,986 cases and Gingivitis and periodontal disease 18,092 cases, 17,843 cases of Dyspepsia, and the tenth is 16,523 cases of headache.
Diah hope people realize the importance of health by eating a balanced diet and a balanced lifestyle means enough exercise and enough rest. If people understand health, it is expected the diseases attack can be reduced.
