Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Banjarbaru Mayor Nadjmi Adhani expressed satisfaction with the performance of the government-owned water company PDAM Intan Banjar and will increase capital investment to support would-be Aero City.
"We are satisfied with the performance of PDAM and plan to increase equity participation, so it can enlarge water service for the community," the mayor said in Banjarbaru, Tuesday (Jan 28, 2020).
The mayor speaking after the Capital Participation General Meeting (RUPM) for the 2019 fiscal year at the PDAM Intan Banjar hall, where the Regent of Banjar Khalilurrahman also attended as a capital participant from Banjar District Government.

Nadjmi Adhani said the amount of the capital that would be given reached Rp35 billion, to be delivered in three phases. The first Rp10 billion, then Rp15 billion, and the last Rp10 billion.
"The increase in capital participation is to be used to add pipelines, including pipelines from Jalan Gubernur Syarkawi to Syamsudin Noor Airport to support the would-be Aero City," he pointed out.
The project of the Aero City, which is integrated with Syamsudin Noor Airport, is jointly designed by five ministries, namely PUPR (Public Work and Housing), Bappenas (National Planning Board), ATR (National Land Agency), the Coordinating Ministry for Economy, and the Ministry of Home Affairs. It will conjure up Banjarbaru as a future metropolis in South Kalimantan.
He also said to consider of an asset belonging to the city government in the form of an area for additional capital participation for the jointly owned regional company.
"We are still considering additional capital participation for the location of the water pump booster. The location is around the airport and if it has been declared feasible then we continue to technical," he said.
