He spoke to answer Antaranews Kalsel on Monday in connection with information about the clean water crisis in his constituency, including in Galam Rabah Village, Cintapuri Darussalam Sub-district, Banjar Regency.
The legislator from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) suggested that the relevant agencies to immediately provide clean water.
The former head of the Banjarbaru Institute for Agricultural Research and Technology (BPTP) requested that related parties conduct research into the causes of the clean water crisis and its permanent solution.
"If there are indications of violations, further action is needed," continued the master of agriculture who was re-elected as a member of the South Kalimantan DPRD for the period 2019 - 2024.
According to him, we cannot just leave it or hope for help from others because the help of others is limited or incidental.
On a separate occasion, Agus Salim from the Kaganangan Banua Foundation, a non-governmental organization, received complaints from residents that had experienced clean water crisis.
For example, the village of Galam Rabah is now experiencing a clean water crisis, so the local community is distraught to get decent water for consumption, except by buying a minimum of Rp1,000/liter.
"In the village it is not lacking of water. There is still a lot of water, but it has high acidity or pH is not suitable for consumption," said the NGO activist in the social or humanitarian field.
"Information that we have received is that the clean water crisis is not only in Banjar Regency, but also in several sub-districts in Barito Kuala (Batola), which also requires attention," said Agus Salim.
