In the forthcoming of Eid Al-Fitr 1440 Hijriah, Bank Indonesia Representative of South Kalimantan prepares Rp3.5 trillion in fresh small exchange of rupiah which many people usually need.
"The exchange services are provided in several banks that cooperate with BI," said the Head of the BI Rupiah Money Management Unit Purwanto, after iftar with the media at the Treepark Hotel on Thursday (16/5).
As many as 150 banks in South Kalimantan are prepared to serve rupiah exchange services. "BI guarantees sufficient stock for rupiah exchange in South Kalimantan, especially before Idul Fitri 1440 Hijriah," he said.
"Exchange of these denominations is no surcharge or free," he said to show it different with sudden rupiah exchanges popping out in several main roadside in the city.
"With so many money exchange points, it can directly reduce, even eliminate the exchange of money on the roadside," he said.
BI South Kalimantan also open mobile cash services during Ramadan in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru from May 20 to 31, 2019.
"For Banjarmasin mobile cash services are in the Kamboja Park, Harbor Master Office, Naval Base Banjarmasin, City Government, and the Regional Police of South Kalimantan. As for the Banjarbaru in the office of the South Kalimantan Governor's Office, Banjarbaru City Government Office, and the South Kalimantan Mobile Brigade Unit," he pointed out.
