Changes in the educational paradigm which originally prioritized mastery of knowledge now leads to the application of skills that are applicable in everyday life.

To support this, the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) routinely holds a Science Fair as a place to hone skills and increase students' insight.

One of them was carried out in Balangan District by involving science clubs from seven junior high schools who were assisted by YABN.

They were SMPN 1 Paringin, SMPN 2 Paringin, SMPN 3 Paringin, SMPN 4 Paringin, SMPN 1 Lampihong, SMPN Ayawan 1, and SMPN Batumandi 1.

"Through this Science Fair, the science club members display various simple research or experiments," explained the Science Fair person in charge Ledy Sagita.

The fair with the theme Science Color My World became a place of appreciation for science club members. Here they can share knowledge with students from other schools.

There are 30 science works of junior high school students performed at the exhibition at Sanggam Balangan Building. Ledy said some of which were mouse traps, flood alarms, incandescent lights, and water heaters from used goods were displayed in the science fair.

Head of Middle School Division of Balangan Education Office Rafiul Amal said this exhibition was an effort to foster students' love of science.

Previously, routine science fair activities were held in each school, but this year a number of YABN fostered schools participated.
