Tapin police alert 300 personnel to secure the 2019 election in the local district.

For the successful implementation of the 2019 Election Security, Tapin Police Chief AKBP Bagus Suseno invited all components of the nation in the jurisdiction to work together to maintain security and public order (kamtibmas).

"Our personnel are limited, of course the role of the community itself is to maintain a conducive security situation in their respective regions, it is our common hope," Bagus said, Friday (12/4).

The police chief revealed, the number of polling stations (TPS) in Tapin District is 580 and the number of voters is 135,000 according to the Permanent Voters List (DPT).

Considering the number of polling stations is not comparable to the strength of the National Police personnel, the Tapin Resort Police assisted by Linmas as well as assistance from the 1010 Rantau District Military Command (Kodim) to secure the polling station.

"Three pillars together provide support. God willing, Tapin is safe and conducive," Bagus told Antaranews.

So far, the police chief stated that there was no prominent vulnerability, only because of geographical factors such as difficult roads to reach TPS.

However, all can be overcome by the time of delivery of electoral logistics conducted earlier according to the distance.

The police chief has also checked the security process and escorts the distribution of electoral logistics to the sub-district area.

Together with the Chairperson of the Tapin General Election Commission (KPU) Hj Henny Hendriyanti, the Chief of Police checked the KPU logistics warehouse on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman By Pass Rantau, before being distributed to the Sub-district Election Committee (PPK) in Piani and Bungur.
