Hundreds of residents of Tabalong thronged the pendopo (open veranda at the regent residence) to attend the thanksgiving for the inauguration of the Regent and Deputy Regent for the period 2019-2024.
A number of religious leaders, representatives of companies, and officials of the Tabalong District Government also came to the celebration. Anang Syakhfiani and Mawardi were inaugurated as Regent and Deputy Regent of Tabalong by Governor H Sahbirin Noor in Banjarmasin last Monday.
"The prayer of the whole community is our strength in carrying out development in the next five years," explained Regent Anang Syakhfiani.
Anang hopes that all elements of society can unite to support the vision and mission as the direction of future development policies.
The same thing was conveyed by the elected Deputy Regent Mawardi who asked the community not to be compartmentalized.
"Let us unite and strengthen ourselves to make Tabalong a compact and solid district towards a better one," said Mawardi.
In this thanksgiving event, the committee prepared 20 booths by presenting food such as satay, rawon, soto, porridge and local specialties of paliat for up to thousands more portions.
