Banjarmasin Legislative Council (DPRD) member Noor Latifah said she was surprised to know that the Regional Health Insurance (Jamkesda) would be removed by 2020 due to the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri).

The member of Commission IV has just knew on Monday that based on the Permendagri the Jamkesda program would later be integrated into the National Health Insurance (JKN)

"This means that the Jamkesda service has switched to all BPJS Health," said Lala, her nickname.

She hoped, if indeed the policy would be carried out by the central government, the poor citizens of the Jamkesda recipient were really covered in BPJS Kesehatan. "Nothing is scattered," said the Golkar politician.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Health Services Section of the Banjarmasin Health Agency Arifah explained, according to the Minister of Home Affairs regulation, Jamkesda was not permitted anymore since 2020.

"In 2020 we are no longer allowed to budget Jamkesda," he explained.

Arifah said that in Banjarmasin there were 800 recipients of Jamkesda services. To be recorded on JKN, the recipient of Jamkesda must be re-recorded through the Banjarmasin Social Agency.
