Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 12 leading universities from Taiwan.


Following up on the agreement, the student exchange program will initiate cooperation.

"We immediately prepare students to be sent to Taiwan, of course in accordance with their fields of expertise at the university they are aiming for," said ULM Deputy Rector IV for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Prof. Dr. Ir. Yudi Firmanul Arifin, Thursday (3/14).

Yudi said universities in Taiwan mostly have expertise specialists, so they have to send the right students based on their study program.

The deans in several faculties at ULM also agreed to follow up on the collaboration in a short time, while socializing it to the academicians on campus.

Not only student exchange, the memorandum of understanding includes other programs, such as joint research, publications, lecturer exchanges, guest professors and so on.

Previously, 12 of Taiwan's best universities held a higher education exhibition titled "Taiwan Higher Education Fair 2019" in Banjarmasin. They are Tunghai University, Tzu Chi University, Tamkang University, Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, I-shou University, National Taiwan University, National United University, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, National Dong Hwa University, Yuan Ze University and National Cheng Kung University.
