The District Military (Kodim) 1008 Tanjung together with the Tabalong Forest Management Unit (KPH) planted trees at the 104th TNI Integrated Village Development (TMMD) location in Hayub Village, Haruai Subdistrict.
The Territorial Section Officer (Pasiter) of Kodim 1008 Tanjung Captain Inf Fendry said this activity was to support the reforestation program as well as the provincial green revolution movement.
"As many as 130 members of our task force are involved in reforestation activities at the site of the road construction," Fendry explained.
Previously, KPH Tabalong Head Heryadi handed over 1,500 mahogany, trambesi, and tanjung flower seeds to the Capt. Inf. Fendry.
The tree planting at the construction site of the 1,840-meter road body was also joined by members of the forest police, agriculture counseling team, and KPH in Tabalong.
"To support the green revolution movement, we invite all parties to plant trees, including at the location of TMMD," Heryadi pointed out.
In Tabalong Regency the green revolution movement is targeted at 8,000 hectares including the sengonisasi program.
To meet the needs of the seeds, KPH Tabalong is preparing nurseries with a production target of 700 thousand seeds.
