Banjarmasin - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) and Defense University (Unhan) held a seminar together with the theme of the Spirit of Democracy 2019 in order to Increase the Defense Spirit of the Nation at the ULM Rectorate Banjarmasin, Tuesday (26/2).
"This seminar is the application of Defense University students who will end the study by conducting research in South Kalimantan," said Chairperson of the Seminar Organizing Committee Colonel Inf Joni Wijayanto here.
According to the Head of the Unhan Research and Treatment Center, South Kalimantan was chosen as the research site because it was in accordance with the Defense Strategy Faculty (FSP) education program.
"The application of the field is very appropriate in South Kalimantan. Especially abundant natural resources, a lot of human resources, because officials in this area come from the sons of their own region," he said.
The seminar to present 70 Unhan students, he said, was simultaneously held in four cities, namely Banjarmasin, Riau, Pontianak and Bali.
Separately, Unhan Rector Lt. Gen. Tri Legionosuko said, the joint seminar between ULM and Unhan was in an effort to strengthen defense and state resilience with the concept of defending the country.
