Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A total of five personnel of the South Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob) were selected to join the task force of the world peace mission under the United Nations (UN).


"Thank God this year our five personnel were selected in the National Police Task Force's contingent to carry out tasks to several conflict-prone countries," said Commander of the South Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade Sr Comr. Ardiansyah Daulay, Sunday (2/17).

The five personnel left for Central Africa for the FPU I MINUSCA Task Force and for Sudan's Darfur for the FPU 11 Garbha II Task Force UNAMID.

"For the MINUSCA Task Force there is First Insp Sunardi as Danru 3 SWAT Platoon, Brigadier Dhuta Galih and Brigadier M. Maulida Ayani. While the UNAMID Garbha Task Force has Brigadier Hidayatullah and First Brig M Modasir," Daulay told Antara News Agency.

South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yazid Fanani said he was proud of the elected of police personnel from South Kalimantan, thus contributing to the fragrant name of the area in the world.

"A proud achievement for the selected personnel. Of course it was through such a strict selection. I as the Regional Police Chief gave high appreciation and hopefully success in the task and the family are expected to always support and pray," said the police chief.

The ceremony for their departure took place on February 14, 2019 with the National Police Chief General Prof. H Muhammad Tito Karnavian as ceremonial inspector at Rupattama Police Headquarters.

This year the National Police sent as many as 401 personnel to FPU forces with details of 345 police and 56 policewomen. 140 personnel for FPU I MINUSCA Task Force in Central Africa, and 180 personnel for UNAMID Garbha II FPU in Sudan's Darfur.
