Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Kotabaru Government, South Kalimantan, in its 2019 Budget (APBD) allocates Rp17 billion to renovates or rebuild three markets, which were damaged by fire accident, in the Kemakmuran Market Complex.


"The executive and legislature approved a budget of Rp. 17 billion," said Head of Kotabaru Trade Agency Mahyudiansyah on Thursday.

The budget allocation is divided into block B and F block market development Rp 11 billion, while the remaining Rp 6 billion is for the Blok M market, which is known as the subuh (dawn) market.

In the initial design, market block B and block F will be rebuilt with a capacity of 216 kiosks according to the number of active traders. In the new-built market later one trader can only have one kiosk and the kiosk can no longer be used as a warehouse.

While the Blok M market design consists of 188 kiosks and 282 stalls to accommodate the subuh market and surrounding market traders who now occupy emergency buildings outside the market.

"The traders no longer occupy emergency buildings outside, we will arrange everything," he said.

Related to this plan, traders of fire victims who now occupy emergency kiosks at the locations of ex-fires were asked to move. Traders can occupy a shelter on the second floor of block E market which has been empty.
