Martapura, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Banjar Resort Police, South Kalimantan, destroyed crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) and ecstasy as well as dangerous drugs resulting from the crime, with a total value of Rp2 billion.
The destruction was carried out by the Chief Police Adj.Sr.Comr (AKBP) Takdir Mattanete in Martapura Wednesday together with the Regent Banjar Khalilurrahman, 1006 Martapura Military Commander (Dandim) Lt. Col. Inf M Ghoffar, and the Head of Prosecutors Office Muji Martopo.
"The evidence destroyed is Rp2 billion. Specifically, methamphetamine was found in the Karang Intan Narcotics Prison, while ecstasy and drugs were the results of the disclosure of cases," said police chief.
Narcotics evidence destroyed by blending is sabu-sabu weighing 542.84 grams, 886 ecstasy pills, and 600 carnophen pills.
The destruction of various types of narcotics is carried out to avoid misuse because of its large value. "We do not want anyone of interest, including from the Banjar Police, to abuse the evidence, so that it is destroyed to avoid suspicion," he said.
Regent Banjar Khalilurrahman appreciated the destruction of evidence of narcotics carried out by the Banjar Police and assessed it as seriousness to overcome drug abuse.
"We strongly support the Banjar Police's steps to uncover various drug abuse cases and take firm action against the perpetrators, including destroying the confiscated evidence," he said.
