In addition to cigarettes, there was other evidence from Customs and Excise findings, namely 288 bottles of ethyl alcohol, postal packages in the form of sex toys, medicines, cosmetics, supplements, spare parts of airsoft gun with a total of 27 packages.

Previously, based on the investigation, the owner of the illegal goods was not found, so it was determined to be state property.

"There are six people who are named as suspects and five of them have been convicted by the Banjarmasin District Court," said Effendi.

According to him, the destroyed evidence was the result of 2017 and part of 2018, namely 30 prosecutions from KPPBC TMP B Banjarmasin and 14 prosecutions of the Regional Office of DJBC South Kalimantan.

Customs at the South Kalimantan Post Office and Customs Products in Banjarbaru also take action against several foreign postal parcels that are not accompanied by recommendations and import approval letters from related agencies and goods that are prohibited from importing.

Effendi also revealed that the modus operandi used by business people subjected to illegal excise is by sending them through sea shipping expeditions by disguising the names and addresses of the recipients.
