Tanjung, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Ministry of Transportation is verifying the Warukin Airport in Tabalong, South Kalimantan, for the status to serve general flights.
Head of the Warukin Airport Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Tabalong Transportation Agency Rizky Maulana in Tanjung, said on Wednesday the operating permit is still of special status.
"The verification team represented by the Directorate of Airport come to to the field for a data material to improve the status of the operating license," Rizky explained.
Meanwhile, the head of the verification team Yoeniatie Farida stated that their arrival is related to improving the status of Warukin Airport in order to serve general flights.
Verification by the Ministry of Transportation team includes navigation and security of aviation. Therefore the verification team also involved personnel from the Aviation Security Directorate, namely Tulus Wibowo, Oberlin Silitonga, M Bayu Andrie F and Mukmin Amin.
From the Directorate of Aviation Navigation who participated in the verification are Yusep Widarto and Hendra Ahmad Firdaus.
Field verification activities are also witnessed by representatives of PT Pelita Air Service and PT Pertamina as administrator of Waruki Airport.
In the airport certificate signed by the Director General of Civil Aviation Agus Santoso Number 062/SBU-DBU/III/2018 mentioned the type of aircraft used at Warukin Airport namely ATR 72-500 and the like.
