Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Governor of South Kalimantan H Sahbirin Noor, who is performing hajj this year, took the time to visit hajj candidates of Banjarmasin Embarkation and their accommodation in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
This was told by Head of South Kalimantan Office of Ministry of Religious Affairs H Noor Fahmi in Banjarmasin on Sunday after receiving reports from Banjarmasin Embarkation Hajj officers in Makkah.
"The governor suddenly visited our hajj accommodation in Makkah, and encouraged them," he said.
According to Noor Fahmi, the South Kalimantan governor came to see the condition of South Kalimantan hajj candidates and their accommodation in sector eight Bakhsi Hotel number 806 or about 2 kilometers from the Al-Haram Mosque.
Noor Fahmi said, Governor H Sahbirin Noor also looked at the Hajj accommodation in sector 3 of the Raudhoh about 2.5 kilometers from the Masjidil Haram.
"There are several groups, every place, he visited and greeted," said Noor Fahmi.
The governor who is usually called Uncle Birin, said Noor Fahmi, gave the message to all hajj candidates to maintain health before the fardu hajj worship, Wukuf at Arafat.
"He said, move, take care of health, grouping and especially help each other. Prioritize the elderly," he said.
The Governor of South Kalimantan also asked to raise coordination between officers and prioritized patience and sincerity to provide the best services for pilgrims.
"In essence, according to our officers there, the arrival of the governor to see them at the hajj accommodation is an additional motivation," said Noor Fahmi.
As is known, the number of hajj prospectives from South Kalimantan in the city of Makkah is 3,885, including hajj officers. Two South Kalimantan hajj candidates were recorded died in the holy land.
