Barabai, (AntaranewsKalsel) - Typical snack of Central Hulu Sungai (HST), kacang jaruk (salted peanut, which cooked by grilling mixed with sand), of H Ati brand get patent right from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham).


The patent rights was submitted by the Head of Sub-Division of Public Law and Intellectual Property Services of the ministry Bintang Oktavianti Subekti to the business owner Hj Sri Yati, Haruyan Seberang Village resident, Thursday (19/7) in Banjarmasin, during the program synergy event of Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (UMKM) with The Council for National Handicrafts Indonesia (Dekranas) and PKK.

Hj Sri Yati expressed very happy and grateful for the support of HST District Government and PKK (Family Welfare Movement). She said, she and her husband started the kacang jaruk business since 2011 when its marketing began only to the villages.

"Thanks to the support of HST local government who gave training and promoted it to various regions through SME products exhibition, finally our product was known throughout Indonesia and even Malaysia," she told.

Acting Regent HST A Chairansyah, when accompanying the receipt of the patent with TP PKK HST Chairwoman Hj Ernawati, appreciated the HST's product which has been recognized by Kemenkumham.

"This can be an example for other SMEs to continue to improve the quality of their products, thus also able to penetrate the modern market and get patents," he said.
