Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Hundreds of residents received free medical treatment in the framework of the launching of National Integrated TNI program on Family Planning Health (TMKK) in North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan.


"Various activities within the framework of National Integrated TNI program on Family Planning Health in HSU District, such as free medical treatment, including cataract and cleft lip surgery," said Regent Abdul Wahid in Amuntai on Monday.

Wahid said that health services in HSU district have so far reduced stunting rate in children. In 2013 the Stunting rate in HSU was very high reaching 79 percent but by the end of 2017, it has dropped to 31 percent.
 
Although he acknowledged, various facilities and health infrastructure in HSU is still very limited, but the local government seeks to maximize services with facilities owned.

Wahid reviewed the implementation of cataract and cleft lip surgery at Pambalah Batung Amuntai Hospital with Paban-3 Ster of TNI Headquarters Colonel Kav. Hafruddin Daeng and Head of Health of the VI Regional Military Command (Kakesdem) Mulawarman Colonel Kcm Triatmodjo.

The launching of TMKK on Tuesday (1/5) in Pahlawan Field Amuntai will be attended by TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Health Minister Nila Moeloek, Acting Head of National Family Planning Board (BKKBN) Sigit Priohutomo, and South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor.
