Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (TNaran) - Traffic police stopped a pickup truck carrying Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival (BSF) participants on Jalan Piere Tendean, on Saturday.


"We have to stop the vehicles because they violate the rules of traffic, the pickup car should not transport humans," said Head of Task Force 2 Preemtif Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Dra Nina Rahmi, MM.

She said the police immediately reprimanded the driver and asked everyone in the open cargo box to step down.

"The driver or committee should not use pickup as a means of conveyance, because it is clearly forbidden and harmful if something unexpected happens," Nina firmly stated.

According to her, open-air vehicles are dangerous for the safety of passengers, and not in accordance with the usefulness and function of the vehicle. If it is still violated, risky in case of an accident, there will be many casualties.

"According to Article 303 and Law No. 22/2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation, freight cars to transport people can be
criminalized with a maximum of one-month imprisonment or a fine of Rp250 thousand," said the policewoman who served as Head of Sub
