Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor sets the quota of app-based taxi service or the so-called online taxi in the province of 938 fleets to be arranged in three zones.
Head of Transportation Agency Rusdiansyah on Wednesday said the provision of the operational app-based taxi is based on Governor Regulation No. 6/2018.
"The rules include setting up online taxi quota that may operate with the zoning system," he said after chairing a synchronization and integration meeting of 2018 transportation program and activities in Banjarmasin.
In this regulation, he added, the provincial government gave online taxi quota to 938, divided into three zones, namely zone 1 Banjar Bakula, zone 2 Banua Anam, and zone 3 Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru zone.
Rudi said the regulation was signed on January 26, 2018, and ready to be socialized, especially to the conventional and online taxi drivers who have been in conflict.
While the upper and lower limit tariffs are regulated in the Regulation of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, namely the lower limit of Rp3.700 per kilometer and the upper limit of Rp6,500 per kilometer.
Earlier last week, hundreds of online taxi drivers rallied around Monas, Central Jakarta, rejecting the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 108 of 2017 which was deemed not to be neutral.
The action was held simultaneously by a number of areas that became the basis of online taxis, especially in big cities.
The condition is different in Banjarmasin. The rally plan was cancelled, with reason to keep the situation, after the conflict with the city transport drivers who had to sweep the existence of an app-based taxi in Banjarmasin.
