Tanah Laut chicken supplier center for Kalimantan

Pelaihari, South Kalimantan 23/11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tanah Laut Regent H Bambang Alamsyah stated that this district is now one of the centers of broiler and hen supplier in Kalimantan area.

"Tanah Laut Regency as one of the food buffer, especially broiler and hen, particularly for South Kalimantan, Central, and East Kalimantan," said Regent H Bambang Alamsyah in Pelaihari on Thursday.

Not only producers of broiler and hen, according to him, Tanah Laut is also a producer of broiler and hen seeds. Within a month, this district produces five million hen and broiler seeds.

He explained broiler and hen seeds in Tanah Laut is the result of the development of nurseries of several private companies in the local area.

Regarding the development chicken seeds (DOC) and production broiler and hen by private companies, he said, in the future, the local government needs to make a withdrawal of retribution or levy.

With the levy, he said, the companies have contributed to the development of the Tanah Laut, especially the development of the people's economy.

For that, he requested support from the companies' chicken farms in the area when retribution later imposed.

"I hope the support of livestock companies in this area to jointly promote the economic development of the Tanah Laut," he said.
