Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Minister of Education and Culture Muhajir Effendy asked every student of all levels of education to be given the opportunity to become a leader through various activities in school.

"Every student should be given the opportunity to be a leader, so they are brave and maybe someday a great leader," he said in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Friday.

Minister was speaking during a visit to junior high school SMPN 5 Banjarbaru, one of three schools he visited in the city. He was accompanied by Mayor Nadjmi Adhani.

According to minister, principals and teachers should apply a rotational system for each student to follow activities such as flag ceremonies.

"They have to be trained to take turns in order to lead an activity, such as a flag ceremony, not to be left to certain students, that's all," he told local teachers.

The division of tasks at the flag ceremony can be started from the ceremonial leader, the officer who raises the flag until they are appointed to lead the song.

"Including the head of the class, should also be appointed alternately, not submitted to certain students so as to give other students the opportunity to become a leader candidate," he said.

He pointed out, the students who are given the opportunity to lead will have more courage so that in the future can be a brave leader.
