Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru Human Settlements Agency (Dinas Cipta Karya) in South Kalimantan will build a clean water pipeline for people in Mount Mandin and its surrounding areas with a budget ceiling of Rp2.89 billion.

Head of the agency H Akhmad Rivai in Kotabaru on Wednesday said the pipeline construction is financed with central funding through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) 2017.

"We ask the winning bidder to immediately implement, even speed up the construction work of the pipeline for clean water facilities," he said.

Rivai said the fund would be used to build a 9-kilometer pipeline. The pipe size consisting of 6-inch, 4-inch, and 2-inch.

The 9 km pipeline network is targeted to serve 400 new customers of the district clean water company (PDAM) who live around the water source location of Mount Mandin.

"So in the future people in the water source area of Mount Mandin can all get water service from PDAM, unlike the current condition," he hoped.

Currently, some people living around the Mount Mandin have not received clean water service from PDAM. They get clean water services from self-help groups.
