Head of Tanah Bumbu Trade and Industry Agency Anwar Saljuang through the Head of Trade Supervision Section Nunung in Batulicin on Monday said that before Idul Firi until today the price of basic foods is still normal, although there is an increase but not significant.

"In general, the price of sembako is relatively normal, one of the factors supported by demand and supply remains normal," he said.

In addition to the relatively normal price of basic foods, the price of vegetables is also normal. The price of potatoes in daily market in Batulicin Rp20 thousand/kg, cabbage Rp20 thousand/kg, carrots Rp20 thousand/kg, fresh cayenne peppers Rp40 thousand/kg, ordinary chili Rp45 thousand/kg, while garlic down from Rp40 thousand to Rp30 thousand/kg.

While the sea fish such as ruma-ruma before fasting month until Idul Fitri Rp40 thousand/kg, and other sea fish under ruma-ruma price.

Chicken egg Rp1500 per each, village chicken egg Rp2000, duck egg Rp2000, cooking oil Rp15 thousand per liter, cooking oil without brand Rp11 thousand per liter, white sugar Rp13 thousand/kg, premium white sugar Rp14 thousand/kg.

In contrast, the price of fresh beef had increased,  from Rp130 ??thousand/kg in D-4 of Idul Fitri to Rp135 thousand per kg in D-3, and in D-1 until now rose Rp15 per kilo to Rp150 thousand.

The increase is due to the large number of demand, so traders have to hire people as laborers or coolies to help. And the increase in prices for the wages of his labor.

"The Trade Agency keeps monitoring and keeps coordinating with Animal Husbandry Agency to keep the price not to exceed Highest Retail Price (HET)," he added.
