Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan  (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan province, this year implements a drainage maintenance program with a budget allocation of Rp2 billion.


"So this year only maintenance or repair program of drainage in our city, there is no new build," said Head of Public Works and Spatial Agency Gusti Ridwan Sofyani here, Tuesday.

He said, the agency able only to do drainage maintenance at some prioritized points, but not thoroughly for the whole of the city considering the budget allocation of Rp2 billion.

Among the points are considered priority, said Ridwan, are Jalan Cempaka (in front of Al Jihad Mosque), Jalan Dahlia, Jalan Sultan Adam (front ofCivil Registry and Demography Agency), also front of Sentra Antasari Market.

The work process to maintain and repair the drainage is estimated to vary considerably, because of difficulty level and the work process is done also vary.

"But clearly, according to the schedule, all must be finished in December," he said.

Especially for the drainage at front of Antasari Sentra Market, because of water often overflows road or not work well, maintenance is a priority to be finished fast.

Then a number of cables and pipelines that happen to be inside the drain will be moved. Especially, he said, network cables of PT Telkom.
