PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS), a subsidiary of PT Alam Tri Resources Indonesia, has again made an achievement by winning a Platinum award at the Global CSR & ESG Awards 2025.
Winning a Temporary Excellence in Literacy and Education category with a market capitalization of less than USD500 million shows PT SIS's commitment in developing skills and improving the welfare of residents around the mine.
“This achievement is very valuable for PT SIS and motivates us to continue to provide impact to the community around the mine," said External Relations Department Head of PT SIS Nenden Siti Maryam in a statement released by Adaro Foundation (YABN).
Since 2008, PT SIS has consistently run the Mining Operator Preparation (OPP) program which has graduated 1,.696 operators, with 52 percent actively working at PT SIS.
This program has proven effective in providing skilled workers for the company and opening up job opportunities for communities around the mine.

PT SIS is committed to create a source of skilled, competent and fresh graduate workers in accordance with the company's work ethic, namely discipline, loyalty, and militancy.
One of them is through Nyalakan Ilmu (Adaro Ignites Education) CSR program in the form of Adaro Vokasi Mandiri which is carried out in several project areas of PT SIS in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
This program is present as an answer to the need of local workers who have skills that meet the standards in the mining industry.
The vocational training carried out to open up new jobs for the community around the mine.
Through heavy equipment operator skills training, people can be skilled and ready to work in the mining industry.
"This empowerment is not only making a real contribution, but also paying attention to the impact on the environment and surrounding community," Maryam expounded.
Global CSR & ESG Awards 2025 was held by The Pinnacle Group International in cooperation with Sustainable Technology Centre on February 26, 2025 at Mai House Saigon Hotel, Vietnam.
The Global CSR & ESG Award annual international event in the Asia Pacific region was held in the form of summit and award with the theme “Scaling Impact and Redefining Value in Sustainability”.
It was held to explore innovative ESG strategies and solution in order to create value for organization and society as well as appreciation for companies contributed to creating sustainable value and environmental and social impact by continuing to run the company's business well.
