Two districts discuss nature reserve block

Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 29/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Kotabaru with Tanah Bumbu, facilitated by South Kalimantan Natural Resource Conservation Agency, held a public consultation on the arrangement of nature reserve block of Kelumpang Bay, Laut Strait and Sebuku Strait.

Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar was represented by acting Regional Secretary H Hariansyah in Kotabaru on Saturday said the management of the nature reserve area is a systematic effort undertaken to manage it through planning, protection, preservation, utilization, supervision and control.

"Arrangement of nature reserve block is one of a series of conservation area planning which aims to arrange the area by dividing it into the management block, according to the result of potential inventory by considering the area management priority," he said.

Some considerations in block management are the problems, potentials, and the current condition and status of regional significance.

Administratively, Kelumpang Bay, Laut Strait and Sebuku Strait are located in two districts, Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru. 

With the public consultation is expected both can complement and synchronize the planning in an effort to support the management of the conservation area.
