Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 18/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Office of Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kanwil Kemenag) noted that thousands of prospective hajj pilgrims who will depart this year have not paid in full the cost of hajj (BPIH).


Head of Haj and Umrah Management of Kanwil Kemenag H Syukeriansyah here on Tuesday revealed that repayment of BPIH was opened from 10 April until 5 May 2017.

"Indeed there is still a long time for prospective hajj pilgrims who depart this year to pay off BPIH, so it can not be concluded," he said.

According to him, if nearly 2,000 prospective hajj pilgrims who have not paid off BPIH have not yet paid until the grace period, then it concluded they delay the departure.

"Next, the second stage of BPIH will be opened for the next que of haj candidates, replacing the pilgrims who can not pay off BPIH in the first phase," he explained.

He hopes, not many haj candiates who canceled to leave this year because they can not pay off BPIH, which for the embarkation Banjarmasin amounted to Rp37.705.900.

According to Syukeriansyah, Banjarmasin embarkation is the 4th most expensive BPIH of 12 embarkation in Indonesia, but it is still under the embarkation of Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
