Tanjung, South Kalimantan 8/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tabalong government banned transport of cement of PT Conch South Kalimantan to cross the district roads, because it impact road damage.


Regent Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani in Tanjung onWednesday said following a number of provincial roads damaged both in Tabalong and it neighbor Balangan due to cement transport exceeding capacity, it is necessary to prohibit the transport of cement.

"In writing we have submitted a ban on transport of cement across the county road, such as the segment road of Guru Danau Mabuun," he said.

According to Anang, district roads in the Tabalongare closed from cement transport fleet which are dominated by tronton and trailer types.

Not infrequently transport carrying about 50 tons of cement, even more, thus speeding up the roads damage in Balangan which most severely affected.

Provincial roads not only hollow but bumpy at some points. Drivers or motorists must be extra cautious crossing the roads.

In addition to highlighting the impact of damage to roads, Tabalong remind the China's cement company commitment to deal with the use of surface water in the Jaing village.

The company is also expected to deal with the issue of the local workforce, including the obligation to pay taxes and levies.

"Special Committee of DPRD has submitted recommendations related to the issue of PT Conch, and results should be submitted to the higher authority," said Anang.
