Batulicin, South Kalimantan 2/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tanah Bumbu district embraces Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to realize the smart city which implements science and technology in administration system. 


It begins, said Regent Mardani H. maming in Batulicin on Thursday, with inviting the ITB for discussions with a range units of the regional government organization (SOPD) in Tanah Bumbu.

"We discuss the implementation of smart city, then directly review our information technology facilities and human resources (HR) in each SOPD," he said.

The concept of smart city is the districts or cities managing both natural and human resources to effectively and efficiently maximizes service to citizens as well as to synergize between government agencies and non-governmental institutions or private.

The benefits of smart city is the government capable of knowing the issues, understand the condition, and can manage solutions using existing resources effectively and efficiently.

"With the smart city program we hope will grow and bring out the character of the government that is responsive, innovative, and competitive," he explained.
