The district government of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan Province, is preparing young generation who are intelligent and able to be competitive through literacy.
"We have just officially opened the Jelajah Literasi 2024 (2024 Literacy Exploration) event organized by the Library and Archives Agency (Dispersip)," said Tanah Bumbu Regent H. Zairullah Azhar in Batulicin, Friday.
He remarked that literacy has an important role in building a smart and competitive generation.
Accorting to the Regent, literacy is not only about reading and writing, but also about effort to create an intelligent mindset, especially for the nation's next generation.
"Not just reading and writing, but comprehending," he pointed out.

The Regent hopes that this event plays its role in creating an intelligent, critical and cultured generation.
Meanwhile, Head of the Tanah Bumbu Library and Archive Agency Yulia Rahmadani said that the Literacy Exploration event is expected to be able to encourage and educate the nation's children.
The Jelajah Literasi event held from Octover 17 to 19, 2024 at the Dispersip Office yard.
The activities enlivened the event were Morning Parenting, Got Talent, Cultural Exploration, Kindergarten Coloring, Eco Print training, On The Spot Photos, and so on.
The activities aimed to foster a spirit of literacy, especially for young generation in Tanah Bumbu.
