Regent of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan Province, Zairullah Azhar, exposes the "Kampung Patin" Smart Fisheries Village (SFV) program.


"Kampung Patin SFV is located in Sungai Dua Village, Simpang Empat Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu," said Zairullah in Batulicin, Thursday.

At the same time, Zairullah was harvesting pangasius (patin) resulting from the Kampung Patin program.

The Regent said he welcomed with gratitude the exposure of Kampung Patin program.

"Hopefully with this important momentum, we will all continue to strive and pray for success development of our region," said the Regent.

He expounded that this program is the effort of the regional government to improve and develop fishing village, as one of the efforts to realize Tanah Bumbu to become the "Veranda of Medina".

The SFV program applies the concept of upstream to downstream development based on the application of appropriate technology and management as well as improving the economy of village communities.

Kampung Patin is Sungai Dua Village has an area of 154.57 hectares with an existing pond area of 17.3 hectares.

On the occasion, the Regent ianugurated Hj Wahyu Windarti as Mother of the Tanah Bumbu Fish Consumption Forum (FORIKAN).

The event was also attended by Head of Research Center for Marine Product Processing and Biotechnology (BBRPPBKP) of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry (KKP), and a number of Tanah Bumbu government officials.
