Tanah Bumbu Regent, South Kalimantan, dr Zairullah Azhar has provided wheelchairs to assist people with disabilities in Kusan Hilir Sub-district to help their lives easier.
"We previously received information from Kusan Hilir residents that two people in that area, both were children, who had physical limitation and needed wheelchairs," said Zairullah in Batulicin, Monday.
Not waiting long, Zairullah immediately granted the residents' request. The assistance was handed over directly by the Regent of Tanah Bumbu.
Actually, they both had received wheelchairs as a a mobility aid from the local Social Office several years ago.
"But the old wheelchairs are no longer worth for use, so a new wheelchair is needed," he said.
On that occasion, the Regent also appealed to village heads to help provide information regarding residents who need social assistance.
