The Kotabaru Library and Archive Office (Dispersip) launched the National Orderly Archive Awareness Movement (GNSTA) all at once elimated inactive archives at the Regional Archive Agency (LKD).

"This is a form of government's commitment to orderly archives," said Kotabaru government's Assistant for General Administration Khairul Aswandi who attended the event here on Friday.

He said the management of archives, correspondence, and archives in orderly, well-maintained and safe, in accordance with archival regulations within the Kotabaru govenrment, is the government's commitment.

Archives function as center of memory, a source of information and tools of monitoring very necessary in planning, analyzing, developing, and formulating policies for making decision, making accountability reports, and controlling activities.

Head of Dispersip Kamirudin said the event was held in accordance with the archive rules and the Kotabaru Regent regulations, with the hope that archives will be well organized and managed in accordance with the GNSTA today.

The activity was also attended by Regent's expert staff, heads of government working units (SKPD) and archivists throughout Kotabaru.
