Governor of South Kalimantan H Sahbirin Noor dispatched 1,000 free homecoming trips participants who celebrate Eid in their hometown on Idul Fitri (Eid al-Fitr) 1445 H or 2024.
 
Head of South Kalimantan Transportation Service M Fitri Hernadi said that the departure ceremony was led by the Governor Saturday.

"The remaining around 1,000 people will depart tomorrow (Sunday, April 7, 2024)," he said.
 
Not only from Banjarmasin, Fitri said, free homecoming trips participants are also dispatched from Banjarbaru.

Departures for Saturday, he explained, are for homebound travelers to Tanah Bumbu Regency and Kotabaru Regency.
 
The next day departure will be for Banua Enam (the six districts) destinations, namely Tapin, South Hulu Sungai, central Hulu Sungai, North Hulu Sungai, Tabalong and Balangan.
 
The 2024 free homecoming trips with Uncle Birin (South Kalimantan Governor) and Acil Odah (Chairwoman of South Kalimantan PKK) includes inter-city destination in the province. This program has been running since 2023.
 
Meanwhile, the Governor conveyed a message that all travelers and especially drivers should be careful while traveling, maintain speed to avoid incidents.
 
"If driver sleepy, please take a rest, please remind each other. If the driver sleepy remind him to just rest. Have a good time meeting your relatives in your hometown," he said.
 
He hopes that all people in South Kalimantan can celebrate Eid happily this year with their families, and he also send greeting to everyone.
