Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Criminal Unit of Alabio Sector Police, North Hulu Sungai (HSU), arrested a suspected fuel reseller (popularly known as pelangsir) in the local area.
"The perpetrator was arrested after police received information about a car carrying 500 liters of diesel fuel in the pick up car. After investigation it was true," said the HSS Police Public Relations Iptu Alam in Amuntai, Friday.
AR was arrested on Thursday (27/10) morning at around 10:00 am while in the Alabio roundabout, Sungai Pandan Village. He is a resident of Danau Panggang Village.
In addition to apprehend the perpetrator, police confiscated a Suzuki Futura pickup truck. Police seized 15 jerrycans with a capacity of 30 liters and eight jerrycans for 20 liters. All contained diesel fuel.
AR along with evidence straightly taken to the police station for further examination.
From the investigation, AR allegedly has violated or abused commercial of subsidized fuel, Alam said.
