Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Sayed Jafar,  appreciated PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT) for asphalting a six kilometers road in Pulau Laut Tanjung Selayar Sub-district through corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

"On the behalf of regional government, we would like to express our gratitude for the program launched by IBT," said Regent Sayed Jafar here on Thursday.

He said the asphalting program carried out by IBT was a form of company support for the local government and prove the company's presence in society.

"The asphalting has had a positive impact on six villages around the company," he said.

The Regent hopes that smooth and safe road access will improve the standard of living and economy of the villages of Kampung baru, Lontar Timur, Gosong Panjang, Lontar Selatan, and Tepian Valai.

President Director of PT IBT Lili Pratiwi said asphalting a six kilometers road with a width of 6.5 meters using hotmix asphalt was a CSR program took around four months starting October 2023 until January 2024.

"We are here as a commitment to contribute to to infrastructure development in the local area," she said.

Head of Pulau Laut Tanjung selayar Sub-district Baharudin expressed gratitude to the local government for the recommendation so that asphalting was carried out through PT IBT's CSR.
