Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Speaker of the Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, DPRD Suwanti called upon all segments of society to use the commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day as a moment to reaffirm commitment to strengthening national unity.
She made her statement after reciting the pledge during the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration ceremony held on the grounds of the Regent's office within the Sebelimbingan government office complex.
“Alhamdulillah, the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration was successfully carried out; let us use this moment to foster closer unity for the sake of the integrity of the nation," she said on Thursday.

Suwanti said Pancasila Sanctity Day should be reminder that the diversity found in Kotabaru is a strength that must be maintained through the values of Pancasila.
Understanding the history is a crucial step for every citizen in safeguarding integrity of the nation and fostering the spirit of nationalism, and maintain a firm commitment to uphold Pancasila.
She emphasized that Pancasila is not enough to merely understood as the foundation of the state, but must be realized in daily life.
These values are reflected in mutual respect, a sense of togetherness, gotong royong or mutual cooperation, and upholding unity and integrity.
