The National Alms Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia bestowed Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Regent Aulia Oktafiandi BAZNAS award 2024 for a category of supporting the best zakat management.
Chairman of BAZNAS Noor Achmad handed over the awards to HST Regent and 57 other regents in Indonesia as witnessed by Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Quomas in Jakarta, Thursday.
“These awards are form of appreciation for the achievements of regional heads in carrying out various programs and zakat management in their respective areas,” he said.
Noor Achmad said that the regional heads had outstanding contribution in improving people's welfarea that they deserved an appreciation in the form of awards.
“I'd like to thank the support of the regional heads who helped implement the BAZNAS program in the regions,” he said.
Regent Aulia Oktafiandi really appreciated BAZNAS for bestowing central Hulu Sungai government an dalam pengumpulan dan penyaluran other regions the BAZNAS award 2024.
He said the award was a form of commitment pf the regional government in supporting zakat or obligatory charity.
Before receiving the award from BAZNAS RI, HST was one of the best district for zakat management in the Province of South Kalimantan.
“I invite the community, especially Central Hulu Sungai, not to hesitate to pay zakat through BAZNAS,” said Aulia.
Chairman of Baznas HST Syahruji admitted that HST government is very enthusiastic about supporting zakat program in the region, one of which was by distributing grant funds which were quite large in value, and various other support in collecting and distributing zakat.
