Some 8,145 residents of Tapin District, South Kalimantan, receive 10 kilograms of rice aid from the central government distributed from February to June 2024. 

"The distribution of rice assistance is in cooperation with the National Logistics Agency (Bulog)," said acting Regent of Tapin Syarifuddin in Rantau, Monday. 

He said the assistance which has been distributed in stages beginning February 1 was aimed to alleviate extreme poverty and curbing regional inflation. 

"Every family receives 10 kg rice," he said adding that the aid distribution which was a directive from President Joko Widodo had no problems and running smoothly in Tapin.

"Alhamdulillah, the distribution went smoothly," he explanined.

Meanwhile, Head of Tapin Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbang) Meidy Harris Prayoga said that the beneficiary families (KPM) are in accordance with the data of Targeting Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Elimination (P3KE). 

"The verification and validation process has been done by Bappelitbang together with pihak sub-district and village," he said. 

He said if inexpediencies are found, KPM replacement can be done through Statment of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM) by the distributor, Bulog. 

"The replacement name is obtained from the Tapin government's P3KE update data," he expounded. 

He said the P3KE database was issued by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK). 

The following is data on the number of beneficiaries in each sub-district in Tapin Regency, namely Bakarangan 866, Binuang 969, Bungur 707, Candi Laras Selatan 498, Candi Laras Utara 971, Hatungun 274, and Lokpaikat 308. 

Then, Piani 419, Salam Babaris 292, Tapin Selatan  1.096, Tapin Tengah  1.373, and Tapin Utara 381.
