The Batulicin Immigration Office is now keeping its eyes on some 20 foreign citizens from China who arrived in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, using a cargo ship on Friday (January 19, 2024).
"They came boarding a Hong Kong flagged MV Golden Trader ship and arrived at Tanjung Pemancingan Harbor in Kotabaru at around 05.00 Wita," said Head of Immigration Information Technology and Communication Muhammad Maryadi, representing Head of the Batulicin Immigration Office I Gusti Bagus M Ibrahim here on Saturday.
They load coal from Kotabaru to take it abroad and plan to return to China on Wedneasday (January 24, 2024).
To maintain national security and stability from negative impact that may arise due to crossing of people between countries, the Batulicin Immigration Officers carried out inspection of the 20 foreigners regarding immigration administration.

"Officers immediately went to inspect foreigners from China on board the MV Golden Trade, and all of them were able to show official immigration documents to officers," said Maryadi.
The office is keeping watching these foreign citizens, whether their presence in Kotabaru is according to permit schedule or not.
"If they violate we will take action in accordance with the immigration law," he stressed.
So far, the number of foreign nationals living in Tanah Bumbu District has reached 145 people and in Kotabaru 798 people.
"We at the Batulicin Immigration Office continue to strengthen supervision of foreigners living and visiting Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru through the Monitoring Team for Foreigners (Timpora) program," he said.
