Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H Achmad Fikry expected all Regional Governmental Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) integrate with each other to realize smart city in the district.
He said, it is very important for OPD leadership to have strong commitment, considering technology --and smart city is part of it-- is one of the district's vision and mission. Especially after HSS designated as one of 50 districts and cities in Indonesia to implement movement towards smart cities program.
"Afer going through a series of asessment, our district was elected among 50 districts and cities in the implementation movement towards smart cities program," he noted in a press statement when opening technical guidance for preparation of smart city masterplan and stage 1 quick win in Kandangan, HSS, South Kalimantan, Thursday (July 6, 2023).
Even though he has two months left in his term, Fikry insisted that smart city should be realized to provide convenience and benefits, as well as mandate.
He emphasized that all OPD leadership in the HSS District Government must have strong will to make smart city program run well.
"With the spirit of togetherness that we have built so far, the smart city program will be able to run well and smoothly," Fikry pointed out.
Through the technical guidance, he hopes that everyone can share the same perception about smart city as well as a means of preparation, planning and coordination for preparing master plan of smart city and determining quick win program in HSS.
The technical guidance presented Madriko Nurhafzi from the Ministry of Comunication and Informatics's Government Informatics Application Service (LAIP Kemkominfo RI) as a resource person.
Also Supia Yuliana and Shakira, SIP from Gadjah Mada University to guide preparation, planning and coordination of smart city masterplan and determination of quick win program.
