Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A youth farmer from South Hulu Sungai Abdurrasid selected as apprentice in Japan (Tokyo JAEC) for one year to deepen knowledge of agriculture in the country.


Abdurrasid in Kandangan on Thursday said, this is a golden opportunity not to be wasted to study agriculture in the developed country.

"As one young man in South Hulu Sungai, I am very happy and proud to be an apprentice in a country known for its technological advancement," he said.

The resident of the Toba, Wasah Hulu Village, Sub-district of Simpur, claimed to pursue agriculture since a child, because he comes from a family of farmers.

Abdurrasid departure for one year of apprentice was released by Regent H Achmad Fikry on Monday (28/3) in his office.

Regent hoped, Abdurrasid step will be able to motivate the youth to not hesitate to involve in the agricultural sector.
"This proves that the agricultural sector is also a promising thing, when occupied and continue to be developed," he said.
