Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Police of Drug Investigation Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) raided a number of drug stores and pharmacies to find what considered as dangerous drug now widely consumed.


"It is a jointly raid with BNNP (South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency) and BPOM (Food and Drug Monitoring Agency) Banjarmasin," said Head of the sub-2 Ditresnarkoba Police AKBP Agus Durijanto here on Wednesday.

He said the raid targeted drugs that often used by people and dangerous if taken without a doctor's prescription, like Zenith pills.

The raids carried out in several places, such as drug sales in pharmacies and drugstores located in Baru Market, Central Banjarmasin.

"The raid conducted at Jalan Niaga Baru, because dangerous drugs were sold freely without supervision in the area," he said.

The raid to pharmacies and drugstores to search for dangerous drugs is part of a named code "Bersinar Operations".

"The operation will be conducted for 30 days and the targets are narcotics and dangerous drugs without a marketing authorization," he said.

In the raid at the Baru Market on Tuesday (15/3) morning, officials found several drugs without a marketing authorization, such as tonic for men, strong herbs, acids, cobra herbs and others, but found no Zenith.
