Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tiga Roda cement producer, PT Indocement Tunggal Perkasa (ITP) Tbk Plant Tarjun, Kotabaru district, revitalizes the market in the fostered villages.
"The development of the market stalls in Tarjun Village is one of the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the economic and health pillar," said SSECSR Dept Head Teguh Iman Basoeki in Kotabaru, Wednesday.
In addition to renovating the building of the market, Indocement makes some arrangement at the same time organize sanitation in the market environment, in order not to appear dirty, so visitors can be more convenient to shop.
With a well-organized market building, the number of merchants can sell at the Tarjun Village Market expected to increase, to encourage economic growth in rural areas.
"One thing that is expected by the company management is Tarjun Village community should maintain this market and make the best use of the building so that the market can become the center of buying and selling goods of daily needs," he said.
Kelumpang Hilir Subdistrict head Budi Antara said Indocement CSR program to rehabilitate the building of the market stalls is very beneficial to the community. It is a real step by company to improve the community's economy.
Tarjun Village Head Sahrani said, previously the daily market conditions was irregular and the number of stalls available is not sufficient to accommodate the merchants.
"The number of traders who can be accommodated only about 65 traders, but after renovation by Indocement number of traders who can be accommodated increased to 76 people," he said.
Currently Tarjun village has two markets, namely the daily market and weekly market that accommodate traders from Tarjun, and some other areas.
