Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Narcotics Unit Police arrested 11 drug suspects for three months from November 2015 until January 2016.


"The suspects were arrested by West Banjarmasin Police, East Banjarmasin and Banjarmasin City Drug Unit Police," said Deputy Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Dwi Ariwibowo Sik here on Thursday.

He said the eleven suspects arrested were Taupikurrahman, Rusnah, Ramlan, Zulkifli, Suriansyah, Rina Susilawati, Fresi, Taufik Hidayat, Rahmadi, Ahmad Rizani and Fahrul. All are Banjarmasin residents.

Of the suspects, the police managed to secure evidence of sabu-sabu weighing 225.32 grams and ecstasy pills types ineks as many as 18.5.

Dwi said the suspect with the most heavy evidence namely 161 grams of crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) was Taufikurahman, a convict who twice went to jail with the same case.

"We will continue to combat drug trafficking in the region whoever the person is and where they come from we will continue to develop to the city," said the number two in the Banjarmasin Police when exposing drug cases.

The former Banjar police chief also said related to the inmates who control drug trafficking from inside prisons will also be traced if it is proved definitely dealt with firmly.
