The value of South Kalimantan's exports and imports in April has increased compared to March 2022. The exports rose by 19.44 percent and imports 10.44 percent.
South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in its official reports compiled by Antara in Banjarbaru, Saturday, recorded that the export value in April 2022 reached US$1.51 billion or increased by 188.36 percent compared to April 2021.
"Compared to the export value in April 2021, which reached US$522.61 million, the export value in April 2022 rose by 188.36 percent," said the head of the South Kalimantan BPS Yos Rusdiansyah.
The five biggest export commodities in South Kalimantan were mineral fuels, animal/vegetable fats and oils, wood and wood products, various chemical products, rubber and rubber products.
The five export destination countries that contributed the most in April 2022 were China US$494.52 million, India US$217.83 million, followed by Malaysia, the Philippines and Japan.
Meanwhile, the import value of South Kalimantan in April 2022 reached US$111.14 million, increased by 10.44 percent compared to March of US$100.64 million and increased by 258.46 percent compared to April 2021.
The five biggest imported commodities in April 2022 were mineral fuel, machinery and electrical equipment and ship parts, boats and floating structures, machinery and wood pulp.
The five largest suppliers of imported goods in April 2022 were Malaysia US $79.35 million or increased by 71.40 percent, Singapore US $19.91 million (17.91 percent).
Then, China US $8.23 ??million (7.41 percent), France US $1.59 million (1.43 percent), and Canada 0.87 million (0.78 percent).
